10 Weeks!

Ok Well! I had intentions of writing every week, but one thing I have figured out about being pregnant is that you have ZERO energy!!! While God is knitting this amazing baby in my belly I am out for the count!

I have also been very very green. We are SO thankful for this wonderful baby. We have prayed and prayed that the Lord would bless and we are so grateful for the opportunity to be parents. With that said, I had no IDEA how sick I could feel. It's been since about 5 weeks and the "all day sickness" is still going strong. I have lost 19 lbs in 5 weeks.

But the Lord has really taken care of me. 1st of all- I haven't gotten so dehyrdrated that I have to go to the hospital. Two weeks ago, we were worried, but I have been able to keep down water pretty consistently. PTL!

2nd- I have an AMAZING job and coworkers who have been EXTREMELY supportive and understanding on the days I could just not get in or had to leave early. We figured out that when I take showers in the AM I get really overheated and throw up, then I have to take 20 min. to cool down or I'll get sick again. If I try to blowdry my hair- I get overheated again...you see the trend... However, I am SUPER BLESSED to work for a hair school! So I take a shower at night, let my hair air dry overnight, and my coworker/friend Ryann puts it up in a super cute updo everyday. My other coworker/friend Sarah has even offered to come in early to wash and blowdry my hair for me. :) This has helped significantly.

3rd- The Lord has blessed me with the most PHENOMENAL husband ever. Erik is so thoughtful and caring, and does anything he can to make me feel comfortable. He will leave his work on his lunch break on the days I am home to bring me anything I think I can keep down.

The past two days have been the best of my all day sickness, which makes me super hopeful that I am getting to the end of this phase!! I'll be 11 weeks on Saturday. I even felt good enough to sit with Erik at a restaurant!!! I havent been in a restaurant in WEEKS!!! And if you know me, that is probably a first. I lovvvvvee going out to eat and can't think of a time that we went one week with out that luxury. We are very blessed.

We got to see the baby last monday at 9 weeks and 2 days. The baby was pretty still, but the sonogram lady gave my belly a little push, and said "well, I guess it's not a morning person" and almost right after she said that the baby started dancing! It was kicking its little legs and moving its bottom half all around. It was SOOO funny! It was saying "I am too a morning person!!!!" I wish we had a video! But I do have LOVELY pictures to share!!

I really planned on taking weekly pictures, but I have felt so rotten, I just couldn't take pictures. I don't think I have a bump yet, but one of my coworkers said she could kind of see one. ;)

BABY OLSON!!

SOOO.... the cat's out of the bag!!! WE'RE GOING TO BE PARENTS!!!

Erik and I are so so so excited!! We found out right at 4 weeks and it has been SOO hard to keep this wonderful secret! The Lord has blessed us so much and we have been overjoyed!

We had a sonogram at 5weeks, because we had a very early miscarriage in April. We went in today, September 12th, for another sonogram to see the baby. It also happens to be our 2 year wedding anniversary!!!

Baby Olson is 7 1/2 weeks and due April 28th, 2012. And a wonderful 150 heartbeats per minute :) The doctor said everything is perfect!!!

Neon God Signs

My whole life I've been pretty stubborn. I am an opinionated lady, and I would very much like to believe that I am always right. But the Lord has shown me in my 20 something years of life that I am positively, absolutely wrong about plenty of things.

Also, when the Lord speaks to me, He knows it has to be loud. I become too busy with life to recognize His voice. So He chooses to reach me with Neon God Signs. Not actual neon signs...but HUGE FLASHING CAN'T MISS ME signs. My mom and I have called it this for years.

Turns out, sometimes I still miss them. But I am doing my best to read them loud and clear as often as possible and hopefully share them with the whoever wants to listen.
